Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- dash of salt
- 1/2 cup bourbon whiskey*
- 1/2 cup maple syrup
- 1/2 cup margarine, softened
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1-1/2 cups chopped walnuts
Method
Step 1
Mix flour with baking powder and salt. Mix bourbon and maple syrup.
Step 2
Grease a 9-in. x 5-in. loaf pan. Beat butter until creamy. Beat in sugar one-third at a time. Stir in flour mixture one-third at a time, alternating with bourbon mixture. Fold in nuts. Spread in pan. Bake at 350° for 50 to 60 minutes. Let cool in pan 10 minutes. Cool completely.
