- 2 pounds boneless sirloin steak
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup vinegar
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons chopped onion
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
Method
Step 1
Trim fat from steak ans slice lengthwise into 1/2-in strips. Place in large glass bowl.
Step 2
Combine remaining ingredients. Pour over meat and toss gently. Cover and refrigerate for 2-3 hours.
Step 3
Drain and discard marinade. Thread meat onto skewers. Grill over high heat, turning after 7-10 minutes.
Step 4
2 hints: Partially freezing the steak makes it easier to slice thin. If using wooden skewers soak them in water first to prevent burning and sticking.
