Ingredients
- 1/4 cup chicken broth
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
- 1 tablespoon cider vinegar
- 1 tablespoon tomato paste
- 2 teaspoons brown sugar
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1 pound boneless chicken, cut into 1 inch pieces
- 2 teaspoons cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons minced chives
- hot cooked rice
Method
Step 1
Mix broth, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, vinegar, tomato paste, brown sugar, garlic and pepper in crock pot. Add chicken. Cook on low 2-1/2 to 3-1/2 hours. Remove chicken and keep warm.
Step 2
Mix cornstarch and 2 tablespoons of cooking liquid. Add to crock pot. Stir in chives. Turn heat to high. Stir 2 minutes until sauce is slightly thickened. Serve chicken and sauce over rice.
