Ingredients

  • 1 pound mushrooms
  • 1 pound bulk Italian sausage
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 small onion grated
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup Italian bread crumbs
  • wine to moisten
  • 1/4 cup olive oil

Method

Step 1

Clean mushrooms and remove stems.

Step 2

Brown sausage in a skillet. Drain and remove to a bowl. Cool. Add next 7 ingredients. Mix with hands.

Step 3

Fill mushroom caps with sausage mixture and place in a 3 quart baking dish. Drizzle with oil to moisten before baking.

Step 4

Cover with foil and bake at 400° for 10 minutes. Uncover and bake 10-20 more minutes.
