Ingredients

  • 2 cans (8 ounces each) tomato sauce or 16 ounces salsa
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 1/3 cup green pepper, chopped
  • 1/4 cup margarine
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon prepared mustard
  • dash of pepper
  • 1-1/3 cups MInute Rice, uncooked, or 2 cups leftover cooked rice works too (leave out the water)

Method

Step 1

Combine all ingredients except rice in a sauce pan. Cover and bring to a boil. Stir in rice. Remove from heat. Cover and let stand 5 minutes. Stir with a fork.
