Ingredients
- 2 frozen pie crusts
- 1-2 cans mushroom pieces (4 oz. each)
- Or 1-2 cups French fried onion rings
- Or 4-8 ounces bacon bits
- Or 1-2 cans tiny shrimp
- Or 1-2 cans tuna
- Or 1- 2 cups additional cheese
- 2 cups shredded Swiss cheese
- 1 can evaporated milk
- 3/4 cup milk (or enough when mixed with evaporated milk it equals 2 cups)
- 4 eggs
- 1 tablespoon dehydrated onion
- 1/4 teaspoon each salt & pepper
Method
Step 1
Fill each pie crust with 1 cup of Swiss cheese and any combination of mushrooms, French fried onions, bacon bits, shrimp, tuna or cheese. I usually use French fried onions plus one of the others.
Step 2
Beat remaining ingredients together to form a custard. Divide it into the pie shells. Bake at 425° for 15 minutes. Reduce heat to 325° and bake for 35 minutes more.
