Ingredients

  • 2 cans (20 ounces each) crushed pineapple
  • 1 package yellow cake mix
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 package (5.1 ounces) instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 3 cups milk
  • 2 cans (21 ounces each) cherry pie filling
  • 4 ripe bananas, sliced
  • 2 cans (15-1/4 ounces each) fruit cocktail, drained
  • 2 can (11 ounces each) mandarin oranges, drained
  • 1 container (16 ounces) whipped topping, thawed
  • 1 package (7 ounces) flaked coconut, toasted

Method

Step 1

Drain pineapple, reserving juice. Prepare cake batter according to package directions, but using using pineapple juice plus water for package measurement. Bake according to directions. Cool.

Step 2

Prepare pudding with milk according to directions.

Step 3

Cut cake into 1-in. pieces. Place half of cake in a 6 quart punch bowl. Top with half of pudding, pie filling, pineapple, bananas, fruit cocktail, oranges, whipped topping and coconut. Repeat layers. Chill for 6 hours.
