Ingredients
- 6 pounds pork spareribs
- 1-1/2 cup ketchup
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup vinegar
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/3 cup soy sauce
- 1-1/2 teaspoons ground ginger
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 teaspoon ground mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
Method
Step 1
Remove membrane from bone side of ribs. Cut ribs into serving pieces. Place meaty side up on racks in 2 greased 13x9 baking pans. Cover tightly with foil. Bake at 350° for 1-1/4 hours until meat is tender. Or, seal ribs in air tight food-safe bags and sous vide at 150° for 15-24 hours.
Step 2
In a bowl, combine remaining ingredients.
Step 3
To bake ribs, remove racks, pour out fat and return ribs to pans. Pour sauce over ribs. Bake uncovered at 350° for 35 minutes until sauce coats ribs, basting occasionally. To grill ribs, brush with sauce and grill over medium heat for 35 minutes, brushing occasionally with remaining sauce.
