  • 1 teaspoon minced fresh parsley
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 cups pizza sauce, warmed

1 can (2 ounces) sliced ripe olives

Beef Variation

1 pound ground beef cooked with 1 chopped onion

Coldcut Variation

8 ounces assorted Italian coldcuts
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
3 tablespoons hot pepper relish or hoagie spread

Method

Step 1

On a greased baking sheet, press or roll out dough into a 15-in. x 10-in. rectangle. In a small bowl, combine the egg yolks, Parmesan cheese, oil, parsley, oregano, garlic powder and pepper. Brush over the dough.

Step 2

Sprinkle ingredients evenly over crust. Roll up, jelly-roll style, starting with a long side. Pinch seam to seal and tuck ends under.

Step 3

Place on pan seam side down. Brush with egg whites. Bake at 400° (350° if using bread dough) for 20-30 minutes until golden. Serve with pizza sauce.

Can be made a day ahead. Roll and wrap tightly in plastic wrap. Remove from refrigerator, unwrap and brush with egg white 30 minutes before baking.
