Ingredients

  • 1 cup orzo
  • 2 tablespoons margarine
  • 1 can (14-1/2 ounces) chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan
  • 2 teaspoons diced fresh basil
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper

Method

Step 1

Saute orzo in margarine until lightly browned. Stir in broth. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer until liquid is absorbed and orzo is tender. Stir in Parmesan, basil, and pepper.
