Ingredients
- 4 bread slices soaked in milk
- 2 eggs
- 2 teaspoons parsley flakes
- salt & pepper to taste
- 1 teaspoon garlic salt
- 1 teaspoon meat tenderizer or 1 tablespoon ketchup
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 pound ground beef or turkey
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 1 can (14 ounces) diced tomatoes
- 1 can (14 ounces) peas, drained
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- 1 tablespoon sugar
Method
Step 1
Mix meat, bread, eggs, parsley, garlic salt, meat tenderizer, and cheese together. Form into a loaf. Brown in oil in a frying pan.
Step 2
Place loaf in a casserole dish and bake at 350° for 1 hour. Meanwhile mix together tomatoes, peas, onion, oregano, sugar, and salt & pepper.
Step 3
Pour tomato mixture over meatloaf. Return to oven until heated through, about 20 minutes.
