Ingredients
- 1 stick margarine
- 3 eggs
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- pinch salt
- 2 cups flour, plus some for kneading
Ingredients (icing)
1-1/2 cups confectioners sugar
1 tablespoon milk
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
3 tablespoons butter
Method
Step 1
Mix together dry ingredients in a large bowl. Add in butter and mix. Add eggs and vanilla and mix to form a stiff dough.
Step 2
Knead on a floured board for 5 minutes. Form into rings, sticks, or S shape. Place 1-in. apart on greased baking sheet. Bake at 450° for 15 to 20 minutes.
Step 3
Beat together icing ingredients and frost cooled cookies
