Ingredients

  • 2 cups elbow macaroni
  • 1 tablespoon margarine
  • 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 can (28 ounces) tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon parsley flakes
  • 1 teaspoon celery flakes
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/8 teaspoon chili powder

Method

Step 1

Cook macaroni according to package direction. Drain and put back in cooking pan. Stir in margarine and cheese. Set aside.

Step 2

While elbows are cooking, brown beef lightly in a skillet together with onion, stirring frequently. Add seasonings and tomatoes. Mix thoroughly. Add the cooked macaroni. Simmer covered, stirring occasionally, about 30 minutes.
