Ingredients
- 1 package (16 ounces) frozen French-style green beans, or 1 pound fresh
- 1 shallot, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup slivered almonds
- 1/4 cup butter, cubed
- 2 teaspoons lemon juice
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Method
Step 1
Cook green beans according to package directions. If using fresh, cook in boiling water for about 3 minutes until they turn bright green.
Step 2
Meanwhile, in a small skillet over low heat, cook shallot and almonds in butter. Remove from the heat. Stir in lemon juice and salt. Add drained beans to almond mixture and toss to coat.
