Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 4 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons sugar
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 2/3 cup milk
Method
Step 1
Sift dry ingredients. Cut in shortening until it resembles dry meal. Add milk all at once. Mix until dough forms.
Step 2
Roll our pat out dough. Cut with a biscuit cutter or glass. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 450° for 10-12 minutes.
