Ingredients
- 3 cups unsifted flour
- 1-1/2 cups sugar
- 2/3 cup cocoa
- 2-1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1-1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1-1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1-1/2 cup water
- 1-1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- frosting, optional
Method
Step 1
In a bowl combine flour, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda and baking powder.
Step 2
In another bowl beat sugar, mayonnaise and vanilla. Alternately beat in dry ingredients with water.
Step 3
Pour into a greased 13-in. x 9-in. pan. Bake at 350° for 40 to 50 minutes.
Step 4
Frost if desired.
