Ingredients (crust)

1 devil’s food cake mix

2-1/2 sticks margarine, melted

1 large egg

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Ingredients (topping)

3/4 cup light brown sugar

3 large eggs

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

3 tablespoons corn syrup

1 cup (4 ounces) chopped pecans, cashews, walnuts

1-1/2 cups (9 ounces) chocolate chips

Method

Step 1

Beat all crust ingredients for 1 minute. Spoon into foil lined 15-in. x 9-in. pan. Bake at 350° for 15 minutes.

Step 2

For topping whisk brown sugar, eggs , corn syrup and vanilla until smooth. Stir in nuts in chips. Spread over crust.

Step 3

Bake at 350° for 35 minutes until center no longer jiggles. Cool for 25 minutes before cutting.
