Ingredients
- 2 pounds carrots, sliced
- 1/2 cup margarine or butter, divided
- 6 ounces American cheese, cubed
- 1/4 teaspoon dill
- 1/2 cup crushed saltines (15 crackers)
Method
Step 1
Cover carrots with water and bring to a boil. Reduce heat. Cook until tender, about 10 minutes. Drain. Place carrots in greased 1-1/2 quart baking dish.
Step 2
In a saucepan melt half of margarine and cheese. Stir in dill. Pour over carrots. Top with saltines and remaining margarine.
Step 3
Bake uncovered at 350° for 25-30 minutes, until light brown and bubbly.
