Ingredients

  • 1 cup plus 3 tablespoons flour, divided
  • 1 cup quick oats, uncooked
  • 3/4 cups brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup margarine, melted
  • 1 jar (12.25 ounces) caramel topping
  • 1 package (6 ounces) chocolate bits
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Method

Step 1

Combine 1 cup of flour and next 5 ingredients until mixed well. Pat into a greased 13x9-in. pan. Bake at 350° for 10 minutes.

Step 2

Stir caramel topping and remaining 3 tablespoons flour until well mixed.

Step 3

Remove pan from oven. Sprinkle on nuts and chocolate bits. Drizzle on caramel mixture. Return pan to oven and bake for 20 to 25 minutes. Cool before cutting.
