Ingredients

  • 1 cup chopped fresh broccoli
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 2 slices white bread, cubed
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/8 teaspoon dill
  • dash of pepper and nutmeg

Method

Step 1

Microwave broccoli and onions in water on high for 1 minute. Drain and set aside.

Step 2

Place bread in a greased 11x7-in baking dish. Add broccoli mixture and cheese.

Step 3

Mix eggs, milk, mustard, dill, pepper and nutmeg. Pour over cheese. Cover and refrigerate overnight.

Step 4

Remove from fridge 30 minutes before baking. Bake uncovered at 350° for 25-30 minutes.

Sprinkle before baking with some leftover ham or chopped bacon to change it up
