Ingredients

  • 1-1/4 cup flour
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1-1/4 cup milk
  • 1-1/2 cup bran cereal
  • 1 egg
  • 1/3 cup oil

Method

Step 1

In a bowl combine flour, baking powder, salt and sugar.

Step 2

In another bowl stir together cereal and milk. Let stand 2 minutes. Add egg and shortening. Beat well. Add flour mixture. Stir only until combined.

Step 3

Fill greased muffin cups three-quarters full. Bake at 400° for 25 minutes.
