Ingredients

  • 2 pounds flank steak
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 tablespoon fresh minced parsley
  • 1 tablespoon fresh chopped basil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 cup raisins
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 3 cups spaghetti sauce

Method

Step 1

Slice flank steak lengthwise so that it is thin enough to roll. It's easier to do this if it's slightly frozen. Pound it flat.

Step 2

Combine breadcrumbs, cheese and spices. Spread down center of steaks and roll. Tie with string. Pan fry in oil until browned.

Step 3

Add sauce. Heat until bubbling. Reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer for 30-40 minutes until steak is cooked and tender. Cut off string before serving. Serve with pasta.
