Ingredients

  • 2 cups sifted flour
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup shortening
  • 3/4 cup milk

Method

Step 1

Sift dry ingredients together. Cut in shortening. Stir in milk. Round up dough on lightly floured board. Knead lightly. Roll or pat out about 1/2-in. thick. Cut with a glass. Place on ungreased baking sheet and bake at 450° for 10-15 minutes.
