Ingredients

  • 1 cup margarine softened
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 cups applesauce
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts
  • 4 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon allspice
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves

Method

Step 1

Cream together margarine and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla. Mix will. Stir in applesauce.

Step 2

Combine flour, baking soda, and spices. Stir into creamed mixture. Fold in nuts. Fill greased or paper lined muffin cups 3/4 full. Sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar. Bake at 350° for 25 minutes.
