Ingredients

  • 1/2 package (17.3 ounces) puff pastry
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1 can (21 ounces) apple pie filling
  • 2 tablespoons raisins
  • confectioners' sugar for dusting

Method

Step 1

Thaw pastry sheet for 30 minutes. Mix egg and water. Unfold pastry on lightly floured surface. Roll into a 16-in. x 12-in. rectangle. Spoon pie filling on bottom half to within 1-in. of edges. Sprinkle with raisins.

Step 2

Starting at short side roll up like a jelly roll. Place seam side down on baking sheet. Tuck ends under to seal. Brush with egg mixture. Cut several slits about 2-in. apart on top. Bake at 375° for 35 minutes. Cool for 30 minutes. Dust with confectioners' sugar. Slice and serve warm.
