- 2 pounds Granny Smith apples, peeled and chopped
- 2 teaspoons margarine
- 2/3 cup raisins
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- pinch nutmeg
Ingredients (wrapper)
10 sheets phyllo dough
2 teaspoons melted margarine
powdered sugar for dusting
Method
Step 1
Mix all filling ingredients together. Bake in 13x9-in. pan at 350° until apples are tender, about 15 minutes.
Step 2
Lay each sheet of dough and brush with margarine. Stack the sheets, brushing each. Place filing on one end of dough. Roll dough around apples jelly roll style. Place on greased cookie sheet seam side down. Brush with more margarine. Bake at 350° for 30 to 40 minutes until brown. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
