Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup chopped peeled apples
  • 1/3 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1/3 cup raisins
  • 1/2 cup sugar, divided
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 package refrigerated flaky biscuits
  • 2 teaspoons margarine, melted
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon, divided

Method

Step 1

In microwave safe dish, mix apples, walnuts, raisins, 3 tablespoons sugar, flour, 3/4 teaspoon cinnamon. Microwave on high for 2 to 3 minutes until almost tender.

Step 2

Flatten each biscuit into a 5-in. circle. Mix remaining sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle a rounded teaspoon of sugar mixture on each, reserving a bit for sprinkling on top later. Top each with 1/4 cup apple mixture. Bring up edges to enclose mixture. Pinch edges to seal.

Step 3

Place seam side down in ungreased muffin cups. Brush tops with margarine. Sprinkle with remaining sugar mixture. With a sharp knife cut an X in the top of each. Bake at 350° for 18 to 22 minutes.
