ingredients (crust)

1 cup flour

3/4 cup brown sugar

1/2 cup cold butter

Ingredients

  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup flaked coconut
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans

 

Method

Step 1

For crust mix flour and brown sugar. Cut in butter until crumbly. Press into ungreased 13-in. x 9-in. baking pan. Bake at 350° for 8 to 10 minutes. Cool slightly.

Step 2

In a bowl beat egg, brown sugar, vanilla and baking powder until blended. Stir in coconut and pecans. Spread over crust. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes until golden brown. Cool and cut.
