Ingredients
- 8 slices stale bread
- 1 can (20 ounces) crushed pineapple
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup margarine
- cinnamon and nutmeg
- whipped topping
Method
Step 1
Cut off crusts and toast bread lightly on both sides. Cut into cubes. Sprinkle half in shallow 1-1/2 quart baking dish. Cover with half the pineapple and sprinkle with half the sugar. Dot with half the margarine. Repeat. Sprinkle with a little cinnamon and nutmeg. Bake at 350° for about 45 minutes. Serve warm with whipped topping.
