Ingredients
- 6 ounces butterscotch morsels
- 1/2 cup margarine
- 2/3 cup brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1-1/3 cup sifted flour
- 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/3 cup chopped nuts
- 3/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
Method
Step 1
Melt together morsels and margarine. Remove from heat. Add sugar and egg. Beat until light colored.
Step 2
Sift together flour and baking soda. Add to first mixture. Add nuts and vanilla. Chill until firm enough to handle.
Step 3
Shape on waxed paper into 4 12-in. rolls. Roll up in waxed paper and chill thoroughly.
Step 4
Cut into 48 very thin slices. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 375°for 5 to 6 minutes. Cool 1 minute then remove from pan.
