Ingredients
- 1/2 cup margarine
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 1-1/2 cups sugar plus 3 tablespoons for rolling
- 1/2 cup honey
- 2 eggs
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 4 cups flour
- 2-1/2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1 teaspoon cloves
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chopped pecans
Method
Step 1
Cream butter, shortening and sugar. Add honey, eggs and lemon juice. Beat well.
Step 2
Mix dry ingredients. Gradually add to creamed mixture. Fold in pecans.
Step 3
Shape into 1-in. balls. Roll in sugar. Place on ungreased baking sheets. Bake at 350° for 12 to 13 minutes.
