Ingredients
- 1 cup raisins
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup milk
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1-2/3 cups rolled (old fashioned) oats
- 1-1/2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
Method
Step 1
Wash raisins in hot water. Drain. Cream shortening with sugar. Add beaten eggs and milk. Blend. Add oats and raisins. Mix well.
Step 2
Combine flour, baking soda, salt and cinnamon. Add to creamed mixture. Mix thoroughly.
Step 3
Drop by teaspoon onto greased cookie sheet about 2-in. apart. Bake at 375° for 12 minutes.
