Ingredients

  • 1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese (spreadable cream cheese can be used instead but will be slightly sweeter)
  • 1 can (6 ounces) crab meat, drained, flaked, and cartilage removed
  • 1/2 cup seafood sauce (cocktail sauce)
  • 1/4 cup prepared horseradish
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 3 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (optional)
  • Assorted crackers

Method

Step 1

Beat cream cheese until smooth. Spread onto a 10-inch serving plate.

Step 2

Combine crab, seafood sauce, horseradish and lemon juice. Mix well. Spread over cream cheese. Chill until serving. If desired sprinkle parsley over top. Serve with crackers.

You can make the crab mixture the day before and let the flavors blend before spreading over the cream cheese.
