Ingredients

  • 2 pounds sweet potatoes, peeled and cut into 1/2-in pieces
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons butter, cut into small pieces
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Method

Step 1

In a slow cooker, mix potatoes, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt. Cook on low for 7 hours, or on high for 5 hours.

Step 2

Add butter and vanilla, gently stir to blend.
