Ingredients

  • 1 pound bulk pork sausage (works well with bacon too)
  • 6 eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 6 slices bread, cubed
  • 1 cup (4 ounces) shredded cheddar cheese

Method

Step 1

Brown and crumble sausage. Drain and set aside.

Step 2

In a large bowl beat eggs. Add milk and mustard. Stir in bread, cheese and sausage. Pour into a greased 11x7-in baking dish. Cover and refrigerate 8 hours or overnight.

Step 3

Remove from fridge 30 minutes before baking. Bake uncovered at 350° for 40 minutes, or until a knife comes out clean.
