Ingredients

  • 2 pounds pork spareribs, cut into serving pieces
  • 1 cup maple syrup
  • 3 tablespoons orange juice concentrate
  • 3 tablespoons ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon curry powder
  • 1 garlic clove, mashed
  • 2 green onions, minced
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds, toasted

Method

Step 1

Remove membrane from back of ribs.

Step 2

Place ribs, meaty side up on a rack in a greased baking pan. Cover tightly with foil Bake at 350° for 1-1/4 hours. Or, seal ribs in air tight food-safe bags and sous vide at 150° for 15-24 hours.

Step 3

Meanwhile combine next 9 ingredients in a saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes stirring occasionally.

Step 4

Drain ribs, remove rack and return ribs to pan. Bake uncovered for 35 minutes, basting occasionally. Sprinkle with sesame seeds before serving.
