Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup oil
  • 2 green onions or 1/2 yellow onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons + 1-1/2 teaspoon honey
  • 2 tablespoons chicken broth
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 6 chicken breasts bone-in, or cut of your choice

Method

Step 1

Combine first 7 ingredients in resealable bag. Add chicken. Seal and refrigerate for at least 5 hours. Drain and discard marinade.

Step 2

Prepare grill for indirect heat. Grill should be heated to about 350°. Place chicken skin side down on hot side of grill for about 6 minutes until grill lines form. Turn and move to indirect side of grill. Cook, turning occasionally, for 40 minutes for bone-in breasts, or less for other cuts.
