Ingredients
- 1/3 cup water
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons dry sherry
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1-1/2 teaspoon cornstarch
- 1 small garlic clove, minced
- 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper
- 1-1/4 pound beef, cut into strips
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 4 cups broccoli florets
Method
Step 1
Mix first 7 ingredients. Add beef and marinate for 30 minutes. Drain beef and reserve marinade. Pat beef dry so it doesn't splatter when frying.
Step 2
Heat oil until hot. Add beef and stir fry about 4 minutes until no longer pink. Add broccoli and stir fry 3 minutes longer.
Step 3
Pour reserved marinade over meat mixture, cook stirring constantly until thickened, about 1 minute longer
